The history of real estate in Souderton can be traced back to the early 1800s when settlers began to arrive and set up farms and businesses. In 1810, John Dickinson established what would become one of the town's largest businesses - a mill that produced flour and lumber products. By 1840, there were approximately 100 homes and businesses located within the boundaries of what is now Souderton.

During the late 1800s and early 1900s, several major developments took place in Souderton related to real estate: In 1892, construction began on what would become known as "The Castle" - an elaborate mansion that served as home to prominent local families for many years afterwards; in 1897-1898, construction began on two large hotels - The Jeffersonian Hotel (now known as The Inn at Bucktown) and The Franklin Hotel (now known as Bucktown Suites); and finally, between 1910-1912 construction began on what would become known as "The Hill", an upscale neighborhood that featured large homes on large lots overlooking Main Street.

Today's real estate market in Souderton is largely stable; however there has been some recent development activity taking place within the town limits including new housing developments such as Parkdale Village (which opened its doors in 2017) and several new commercial properties such as Starbucks Coffee & Tea (which opened its doors earlier this year). Overall though, demand for residential property remains high while commercial property remains relatively scarce; this trend is likely to continue over time given the limited availability of land within Souderton's boundaries.
