Muleshoe is a small town in West Texas that has seen its share of economic growth over the years. The town was founded in 1881 and was originally known as Buffalo Gap. It was renamed Muleshoe in 1907 after a local rancher, J.D. Muleshoe, donated land for the establishment of a post office and school district.
