Pineland, TX

Pineland, TX is a small town located in Williamson County. The population of Pineland was just over 1,000 as of the 2010 census. Pineland is located on U.S. Highway 290 about 20 miles west of Georgetown and about 10 miles east of Round Rock.

The history of Pineland can be traced back to the early days of the Republic when land grants were given out to settlers by Stephen F. Austin. The first settlers arrived in 1837 and established a small community called "Piney Woods". In 1853, the town was renamed " Pineland" after General James Ewell Pemberton's plantation in South Carolina. The town grew slowly at first, but began to experience rapid growth in the late 1800s and early 1900s as farmers moved into the area to take advantage of fertile soil and abundant water resources. By 1910, Pineland had a population of 350 residents and boasted two general stores, a blacksmith shop, two churches, three schools (one for boys and two for girls), a post office, and several businesses including a cotton gin, sawmill, grist mill, wagon shop, livery stable and cotton gin distillery.

Today, Pineland remains an agricultural community with many farms still operating in the area. However, due to its location near major metropolitan areas such as Austin and Round Rock (both within driving distance), Pineland has experienced significant growth over the past few decades as people have moved into the town to take advantage of its affordable housing stock and excellent schools (including both public and private schools). As a result of this growth ,the population of Pineland has increased steadily from 1 ,000 residents in 1990 to 1 ,898 residents in 2010 . Currently there are four businesses operating in Pineland: an Ace Hardware store; an auto body shop; a restaurant; and a gas station/convenience store . There are also three churches - one Protestant denomination (Baptist), one Catholic church ,and one nondenominational church - serving the community .

Real estate is an important part of life for most people living in towns like Pineland where there is limited space available for expansion . Due to this fact , real estate plays an important role not only in providing homes for local residents but also in helping businesses expand their operations or attract new customers . Over the past few years , Pinelander real estate has been experiencing strong demand from both local residents as well as those looking to purchase property outside of their hometowns . For example ,in 2012 alone there were six sales totaling $1 million or more ; while during 2013 there were eleven sales totaling $2 million or more . This strong demand indicates that not only is pinelander real estate popular among locals but it is also considered desirable property by those who live elsewhere within Texas or even outside Texas !
