Hingham, WI

Hingham is a town in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

The town of Hingham was first settled in 1835 by Ebenezer and Asahel Smith. The town was named for Hingham, England. In 1853, the railroad came to Hingham and the town began to grow rapidly as a result. By 1880, there were 1,000 people living in Hingham. Today, there are over 5,500 residents living in Hingham.

Hingham is located at (43.739514, -87.859512). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all of it land except for a small portion on the east side that borders Brookfield and has been annexed into that city since 1960.
