Marina Del Rey, CA

Marina Del Rey is a coastal city located in Los Angeles County, California. The city has a population of around 27,000 people and is known for its luxury real estate. Marina Del Rey was originally part of the Rancho San Pedro land grant given to Juan Jose Dominguez by the Spanish Crown in 1784. In 1825, José María Osuna bought the Rancho San Pedro from Dominguez and began to develop it into a seaside resort town. The first hotel in Marina Del Rey was the El Embarcadero, which opened in 1879.

The city's fortunes changed with the arrival of Hollywood celebrities in the 1920s and 1930s. Many of these stars built luxurious homes in Marina Del Rey which are now some of the most sought-after real estate properties on Earth. Some of these celebrities include Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Humphrey Bogart.

Today, Marina Del Rey is still considered one of Hollywood's most desirable neighborhoods due to its proximity to both Los Angeles and Santa Monica Bay.
