Meadow Vista is a small town located in eastern Riverside County, California. The population was 2,827 at the 2010 census. Meadow Vista is located in the Inland Empire region of Southern California and is bordered by Moreno Valley to the north, Perris to the east, and Corona to the south.

The town was founded in 1957 by James and Mildred Meadows who purchased land from local farmers. The town's name comes from a nearby meadow that was once used as a cattle pasture. The Meadows built their home on this property and started a small dairy farm which eventually became one of the largest dairies in Riverside County.

In 1961, Meadow Vista incorporated as a municipality with James Meadows serving as its first mayor. At that time, Meadow Vista had only nine homes and a population of just over 100 people.

Since then, Meadow Vista has grown rapidly due to its location close to major transportation routes (Interstate 10 and State Route 74) and its proximity to major metropolitan areas ( Los Angeles and San Bernardino). Today, Meadow Vista has more than 2,000 homes and a population of over 2300 people.
