Woodbridge, CA

Woodbridge is a city located in Northern California. The population of Woodbridge was 103,925 as of the 2010 census. Woodbridge is a suburban city located about 25 miles east of San Francisco and about 45 miles west of Sacramento. The city is bordered by Danville to the north, Concord to the east, and Walnut Creek to the south.

The history of Woodbridge can be traced back to 1869 when two brothers named James and John Burns platted what would become known as Burns Park. In 1884, the town was incorporated with a population of 1,500 people. By 1900, Woodbridge had grown to 5,000 residents and boasted several businesses including a flour mill, a foundry and machine shop, two banks and three churches. In World War II, Woodbridge served as an assembly center for troops heading for overseas combat zones.

Today, Woodbridge continues to grow rapidly thanks in part to its many amenities including excellent schools (including one charter school), ample shopping options (including major retailers such as Macy's and Target), numerous restaurants and entertainment venues (including an IMAX theater), ample green space (including Burney Park) and easy access to major highways (such as Highway 101).
