Sterling Heights, MI

Sterling Heights is a city located in Macomb County, Michigan. The population was 73,521 at the 2010 census. Sterling Heights is home to the General Motors Technical Center and the Sterling Heights Mall. The city has a rich history dating back to 1837 when it was founded as a small village on the Detroit River by settler John Sterling. In 1909, General Motors opened its first manufacturing plant in the city and today GM employs more than 10,000 people in Sterling Heights.
