Berlin is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 9,898,[10][11] reflecting an increase of 1,527 (+23.2%) from the 7,906 counted in the 2000 Census.[12]
The borough was formed on April 1, 1894,[13] from portions of East Brunswick Township and Woodbridge Township.[14][15] The borough is named for Berlin in Germany.[16][17]
According to the United States Census Bureau, Berlin has a total area of 2.7 square miles (6.9 km2), all land.[18]
