East Setauket, NY

East Setauket is a small town located in the eastern part of Suffolk County, New York. The population of East Setauket was 10,898 as of the 2010 census. It is a suburb of New York City and is part of the Greater Long Island region.

East Setauket has a long history dating back to 1640 when Dutch settlers established a farm there. The area became known as "Setauket" after the Native American name for an adjacent creek. In 1853, East Setauket was incorporated as a village and in 1911 it became a town.

Today, East Setauket is home to many affluent families who enjoy living in close proximity to Manhattan and its many attractions. The town's main commercial street, Main Street, features many upscale shops and restaurants. There are also several parks and recreation facilities available for residents to use.
