Howard Beach is a neighborhood in the borough of Queens, New York City. It is located on the eastern shore of Long Island, between the neighborhoods of Woodhaven and Ozone Park. The area was originally part of the Town of Hempstead, and was annexed by New York City in 1898. Howard Beach is home to a large number of immigrants from South Asia and other parts of Eastern Europe.
