Williamson is a town in Broome County, New York, United States. The population was 2,924 at the 2010 census. The town is named after Colonel John Williamson (1748-1822), an American Revolutionary War officer and landowner.
The town of Williamson is located in the southeast corner of Broome County and is bordered by the towns of Binghamton to the north, Ithaca to the east, Cortland to the south, and Chenango County to the west. Interstate 81 passes through the center of town as does New York State Route 17.
