Marble Falls, TX

Marble Falls is a small town in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 8,821 at the 2010 census. It is located about 30 miles north of Austin and 10 miles south of Round Rock.

The town was founded in 1881 by John and Martha Marble, who named it after the marble quarries near their home in Pennsylvania. The first businesses were a hotel and a general store. The town grew slowly at first, but began to prosper after World War II when the military began using the area for training exercises. Today, Marble Falls is known for its beautiful homes and golf courses.
