Cedar Park is a city located in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 106,911 at the 2010 census. Cedar Park is part of the AustinRound Rock metropolitan area.

The city was founded in 1881 by James and Martha Crawford as a stop on the railroad line from San Antonio to Waco. It was named for the cedar trees that grew along the banks of Cedar Creek. The first post office opened in 1882 with the name " Cedar Park". In 1886, Cedar Park became an incorporated town with a population of 1,500.

In 1907, Cedar Park's first skyscraper – the William Ransom Tower – was completed. Today, there are over 50 buildings in downtown Cedar Park that rise more than 30 stories high. The city has since grown to include numerous shopping districts and neighborhoods including: Downtown (including Main Street and Congress Avenue), Northside (including Barton Springs Road and Lakeline Boulevard), Southside (including Whitestone Boulevard and Interstate 35), East Side (including Anderson Mill Road and State Highway 45), West Side (including Canyon Lake Drive and Hwy 183).
