Montrose is a small town located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, California. The population was 10,898 at the 2010 census. It is bordered by La Cañada Flintridge to the north, Glendale to the east, Pasadena to the south and west, and Eagle Rock to the northwest.

The town was founded in 1906 by Montrose Forest Land Company as an agricultural community. In 1909, it became home to Southern California's first golf course, Montrose Country Club. The club closed in 1978 and has since been redeveloped into a residential community called The Links at Montrose.

In recent years Montrose has seen a resurgence in its economy with new businesses and residences popping up all over town.
