Lakewood also has access to Interstate 80 through Exit 15B on Route 17 . The George Washington Bridge connects Lakewood with Fort Lee in Hudson County across Upper New York Bay . There are two airports within commuting distance: Newark Liberty International Airport , which is about 10 minutes away by car or train; and LaGuardia Airport , about 25 minutes away by car or train on I-495/Route 3 .
