Randolph is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 10,811,[10] reflecting an increase of 1,569 (+16.4%) from the 9,948 counted in the 2000 Census.[19]
Randolph was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 12, 1894,[20] from portions of Randolph Township.[21][22] The borough was named for Morris K. Randolph (1813–1889), a U.S. Senator from North Carolina and Secretary of State under Ulysses S. Grant.[23][24][25]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough had a total area of 2.846 square miles (7.303 km2), including 2.745 square miles (7.269 km2) of land and 0.076 square mile (0.220 km2) of water (1/100th of a percent).
The borough borders Denville Township to the north; Randolph Township to the east; Mendham Borough to the south; and Chatham Borough to the west
