Roselle is a borough in Union County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 10,898,[1][2] reflecting an increase of 514 (+5.4%) from the 9,764 counted in the 2000 Census.[3]

Roselle was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 3, 1917,[4] from portions of Summit and West Milford Township.[5][6] The borough derives its name from Roselle Park (now part of Roselle), which was named for Mrs. John F. Roselle,[7][8] wife of one of the original developers.[9][10][11]

The Borough has two major shopping areas: The Marketplace at Roselle Park and The Shops at Westfield Garden State Plaza. In addition to these two malls there are many other shops located throughout town including Bed Bath & Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory and Sears. There are also several restaurants located in town such as Subway and Dunkin' Donuts as well as a movie theater called Regal Cinemas which is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There are also several parks located throughout town including Hillside Park and Veterans Memorial Park which both have playgrounds for children as well as basketball courts and baseball fields for adults to enjoy.
