Madison Heights, MI

Madison Heights is a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. The population was 33,813 at the 2010 census. Madison Heights was founded in 1906 and incorporated as a city in 1927. It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area.

The city's economy is based on retail sales, light manufacturing, and professional services. The city has two shopping malls: Madison Center and Madison Woods Mall. There are also several large office buildings in the downtown area including One Campus Martius and Two Woodward Avenue.

The city's most notable landmark is the Fox Theatre which opened in 1928 as a movie palace and now hosts concerts, plays, and other events. Other popular attractions include the Henry Ford Museum (which houses one of the world's largest collections of automobiles) and Eastern Market which features more than 120 vendors selling everything from produce to handmade crafts.
