Easton is a town in Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 10,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New HavenMilford metropolitan area.

Easton was first settled in 1660 by English Puritans who were fleeing religious persecution in England. The town was incorporated on February 14, 1784 and named for Easton, Northamptonshire, England. Easton is home to the Easton Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and , or 2.92%, is water. The highest point in town is above sea level on Bear Hill (also known as Mount Tom). The lowest point is just below sea level along the Connecticut River near its confluence with Long Island Sound at Old Saybrook Point State Park.

Easton borders Simsbury to the north; Woodbridge and Monroe to the east; Weston to the south; and New Haven to the west. Interstate 91 runs through eastern Easton as well as providing access to I-95 northbound and southbound which leads into Boston and New York City respectively. Amtrak's high-speed Acela line also runs through eastern Easton with stops at Union Station in Hartford and Stamford Railroad Station providing access into Boston via commuter rail service operated by Metro-North Railroad from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan or Newark Liberty International Airport from Stamford Railway Station

As of 2010 there were 10,827 people residing within town limits according to census data compiled by Yale University's Population Studies Center . Of these residents 3% identified themselves as being Hispanic or Latino while 1% identified themselves as belonging to another race category other than white alone or black alone .
